Find out more about why you should vote for Janice before voting closes tomorrow night!💜 https://lnkd.in/eU2inuSu“Janice has been instrumental in supporting our push for better awareness surrounding child bereavement over the last three years. Working with Janice over the last three years has been a privilege to work alongside her in this campaign. Janice’s drive and determination to get the best possible outcome for the young people in Inverclyde has been nothing short of admirable. From working on awareness videos to delivering informative talks and presentations, I’ve seen first-hand what Janice has given and continues to give to our community. The people of Inverclyde owe Janice a lot more than a certificate or plaque. However, I believe strongly that this award would not only be a personal achievement for Janice, but also a symbol of her continued care and commitment to supporting the most vulnerable young people in our society.” - Ben (Young persons bereavement campaigner/student)

There are no words to this news! Child Bereavement UK, Winston's Wish and Childhood Bereavement Network have worked tirelessly, along with many individuals to get the changes needed to record official data to understand the scale of childhood bereavement. This would help the most vulnerable in our society. My response as a bereaved child of 9 in 1973, and a specialist in adults who were bereaved as children:-- Society needs this data for better outcomes, childhood grief is lifelong.- There are long term mental, physical and social health consequences for not capturing this data, vulnerable children will get lost.- The bereaved children of today are the adults of tomorrow.- Consider psychiatric diagnosis of Prolonged Grief Disorder & Complex PTSD.- Consider impact on a bereaved child's life and the outcomes as adults. - Adults bereaved as children today know the ripple effect of not having support, so we need to change it for future generations. - Come and sit in my world for a day to witness the impact! Surely we can do better than 'guess' how many children are impacted. I for one will still be part of the #nochildgrievesalone movement.

🎯 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬… When I was approached by a family funeral directors to help with their marketing and social media management I have to say I thought it was a strange request. But having sat down with them and conducted our initial exploration phase it soon became clear they had two main objectives. 🔹Firstly, they wanted to build awareness and educate the community they have been serving for over 100 years.🔹Secondly, they wanted to become the go to household name, compared to their national competitors operating within the local area. Despite knowing they offered a superior service compared to the local alternative, they struggled with inspiration when it came to marketing to engage with the community on the educational piece. 🤔To address this, we have been working with them and have implemented a comprehensive strategy with Phase One being the launch of the education blog series aptly titled ‘Dying To Know’. Covering a variety of topics from what to expect from a funeral director to repatriation following an unexpected death abroad. 📝 In addition, phase two was launched yesterday with the introduction of a free Activity Support Pack that we designed, equipping teachers and support workers with resources to guide children through the bereavement journey. Every 20 minutes a parent of a child under 18 dies in the UK, this leaves on average 23,600 children and young people struggling with grief each year. 😢By addressing the needs of the community, they are better positioned as a trusted source of information and support. But this all started through establishing the clear goals and objectives of the client and building our strategy around that. #NorthStarBusinessSolutions 🌟 #TheSocialButterfly 🦋 ...#ClientSuccess #CommunityImpact #MarketingSolutions #SocialMediaManagement

In conjunction with our Newham developments we recently facilitated and organised an event to support Newham based community interest group Newham Fathers United with Purpose. We connected West Ham United and Foundation with Newham Fathers United with Purpose and all three organisations worked in partnership to put together a family orientated event at which fathers could play football with their children, alongside qualified West Ham United football training professionals. Nurture Academy also attended so that the fathers could learn braiding techniques and in turn braid their children’s hair. Arts and crafts tables were put together to facilitate children and their fathers creating mood boards together to highlight what they liked about spending time with each other and what they would like to do more. Newham Fathers United with Purpose aims to create a safe, open and confidential environment in which fathers can discuss issues faced by fathers in relation to family life, bereavement, the pressure to provide, the pressure to hold it together and simply contact with their children. Issues faced by fathers can often be overlooked in public and private provision, with fathers sometimes feeling unnecessarily vilified and/or excluded from wholesome family life. #socialvalue #Newham #community #developer #esg

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.[Proverbs 11:14 (KJV)]Guide the younger generation to the right path, guide those under your care on living a good life. When you are in a position to offer counsel don't withhold your counsel. The word of God has made it clear that we need multitude of counsel. In your family give Godly counsel to the younger ones, in your place of work, give Godly counsel.#givegodlycounsel #benefitsofcounsel #bibleverses #proverbs11vs14 #don'tneglectyourduties #buildgoodrelationshipwithothers #lifeguide #lightandguide #thewordofGodislight

Parents - ask your child, everyday, without fail, 3 things that they are grateful for. 3 things that went well. 3 positive takeaways from that day.You do this daily, asking your child to name 3 positives and do this regularly, in a journal, then, before long, they have a big list of all the positives in their life. Show it them on their down days. All that they have to be grateful for. #odysseyyounglifecoaching #gratitude #gratitudejournaling #kidslifecoach #lifecoachforkids #parents #solihull #kidsconfidencecoach #solihullupdates
