Monica’s Pies is situated four miles south of Canandaigua Lake and a mile and a half North of Naples NY, nestled between theBristolhills and surrounded by a countryside ofpatchwork vineyards and farms as far as you can see. The entire region is noted for its wine making but, onlyNaples itself is noted forgrape pies. Monica is one of many grape pie makers in the area, but unlike the other pie makers, hergrape pies are available at herpie shop year round. Monica and her staff make all kinds ofjams, jellies, conserves and gifts along with seasonal and holiday specialties along with a vast array ofdifferent kinds of pies.
Naples, in theFinger Lakesregion of Upstate New York is consideredthegrape capitol ofthe world. Monica Schenk is the local town’s Grape Pie Queen. The grape is the unofficial trademark of Naples, using the abundance of locally grown grapes to makepies has been a tradition since the 1960’s. Monica, born and raised inNaples, turned the Naples tradition and her love of baking into an incredibly successful business more than 38 years ago. Today, along with her famous Grape pie, she offers over 25 varieties of pies.
