Anyone remember this long forgotten series?? I’m bringing it back! (I know I say that frequently, but this time I really mean it!)

If you are new to the “Recipes the world forgot” concept, it is where I highlight some favorite recipes hiding in the archives. The ones that deserve a new chance in the spotlight! With thousands of recipes living here after 15 years of blogging, sometimes it’s refreshing to bring some of the old classics to the forefront again.

Disclaimer: let’s all be patient with my early food photography skills. 🤣 I’ve certainly come along way. And these posts give me a chance to prioritize which photos I should update ASAP! 😉

I always love knowing if any of the recipes below are favorites of yours. The turkey burgers and southwest chicken and rice are still frequent go-to dinners around here, but I definitely can’t wait to make that malibu chicken again soon!

Any other recipes you think belong on the list of Recipes the World Forgot (but should remember)?!?

We LOVE the zucchini lasagna! We have been eating it for years, but especially since my daughter became a vegetarian a few years ago. It’s amazing.

I love your Italian Beef sandwiches. Those are a favorite. I love the Southwest chicken and rice from this list and your cobb salad. I need to try the others. I thought I had made everything from your site, but there are a few I have missed. I love it when you do these! Keep them coming! Thanks Mel!

Hi Mel — I was browsing through this list and saw the recipe for honey mustard ranch. I will definitely try that.

… and I have an idea/request. I would love to see all of your salad dressing recipes collected in one place, separate from the salads. I have a terrible time finding or making dressings I like, and yours have always been good.

Oven baked chimichangas are my all time favorite when I have time and energy to make them on homemade wheat tortillas .

I love “Recipes the World Forgot”! This collection brings a bit of summer to a cold February day. If you cook like it’s summer, does that mean it IS summer?

We love South West Chicken and rice! I double it for my crowd. Those caramel pecan white and dark chocolate toffee bars have apparently gone under my radar!? I need to make them ASAP.

My family LOVES the Teriyaki Turkey burgers! We make them all the time in the summer.

The Southwest Cobb Salad with honey mustard dressing is a staple at our house in the summers. So yummy and so full of flavor!

We love the Southwest Chicken and Rice! I made it a couple of weeks ago. I usually swap the white rice for pre-cooked brown rice and reduce the chicken broth. Makes it a super quick meal that’s filling and delicious!

We made the honey mustard ranch salad this week and make often! We add cubed jalapeno jack cheese and lime corn nuts (Walmart) for crunch. Family favourite meal! Thanks Mel!
